Records
The Stockbridge Police Department, by law, is not allowed to provide individuals with a copy of their criminal record. Individuals seeking a copy their own criminal records need to make application to The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Criminal History Systems Board, CORI Unit at 617-660-4620. On-line the CORI or Criminal Offender Record Information forms and additional information can be found at www.mass.gov/chsb/cori/cori.html

Police Reports generated by the Stockbridge Police Department may or may not be public record. In most cases copies of police reports will be provided to interested parties, i.e. victims, defendants, at no cost. Often at least some portion of the report may need to be redacted. Because of the complications involved with the public record law and the CORI statute each request needs to be reviewed on its own merits.

Motor Crash Reports can be obtained from the police department with the same restrictions applying.

Requests for reports will be processed Monday to Friday during normal business hours. We suggest that you call first to see if the report is available, if there is a fee, whether or not a written request will be required, and to obtain a time line for us to provide the requested report to you.
